Its excellent location makes it an ideal base for exploring Vitré’s fairy-tale town on foot. The great medieval old town is only a delightful 10-minute walk from there. When you cross the bridge over the Vilaine river, you are greeted by the quite breathtaking Château de Vitré, one of France’s most outstanding castles. You can spend hours exploring the ramparts and museum of the castle and then wandering through a real-life Labyrinth of narrow, cobblestone-paved streets lined with charming half-timbered houses along streets like Rue de la Poterie and Rue d’En Bas.

Just next to the hotel is the lovely Jardin du Parc, an immaculate and beautiful public garden that is a very nice place to stroll with charming flowerbeds and mature trees standing tall, exuding a very calm atmosphere. This immediate green space is an added pleasure. The main center for shopping’s great neighborhood bakeries, and cafes, lies amidst the historic quarter while it takes about ten minutes to really step into the daily life of this charming Breton town.

It's a real plus for people walking. The major train station of Gare de Vitré is less than a five-minute walk from the hotel; thus, arrivals and departures are very simple and very few hassles. One can get on local buses from the station. This excellent communication together with nearness to the historic sites ensures that one can very conveniently park his car at the hotel and won’t need it again while staying in Vitré.
